Southentic Foods was founded three years ago in Greater Mumbai with the brand name Magic Pan. At Magic Pan, we served delicious Neer Dosas, a variety of Idli dishes, Idiyappam, and many other delightful South Indian dishes with our varied and unique chutneys and sambar.

Prakash and Veena – partners in life and in business, both are deeply committed to healthy lifestyle choice. "Three years ago, we started Magic Pan in Borivali, Mumbai. It was a small-scale affair and we served only NeerDosas with our authentic chutneys, which includes coriander and mint chutney, tomato and red chilly chutney, horse gram chutney, and jaggery and tender coconut chutney. Soon after, we started making a variety of Idlis, which became very popular in the Bandra and Juhu organic farmers’ markets."

My husband and our daughter started sampling the food about a year ago when we moved back to Mumbai and started going to the Farmer's Market on Sundays at Dmonte Park in Bandra....
Prakash is such a sweet man and a lovely soul. He greets you with a smile everytime and is happy to serve all his customers who are quite loyal to him. We thoroughly enjoy his gourmet idlis and I must say, after trying the black/brown rice, beets, carrot, ragi, spinach, quinoa and so many other styles of idlis, we just can't enjoy simple plain white idlis anymore. My now 16.5mo old daughter has been enjoying Southentics foods for about 1 year now and she loves it and looks forward to it every Sunday! Apart from the delicious idlis which always come with lovely sambar and amazing chutneys, we also enjoy the neer dosa (he also makes beets and spinach styles) as well as idi apam whenever available. While Prakash covers the farmer's market at Dmonte Park, his wife covers the Juhu Farmer's Market and she is a lovely person as well.
I would not hesitate to recommend Southentics Foods to any south Indian food lover who is present at either Juhu or Dmonte Park Farmer's Markets and wants a bite to eat while they shop for the weekly groceries, but also for any catering purposes. Food is delicious, organic, made with love and served by wonderful souls.
